Limited Warranty Terms and Conditions

Warranty Coverage

Regent Vespa provides a limited warranty on the engine and new parts of the vehicle, valid for a period of 24 months for the engine and 12 months for new parts, commencing from the date of the retail sale. This warranty ensures that, subject to the conditions outlined below, any defective components will be repaired or replaced at Regent Vespa’s sole discretion. Please note that the warranty does not cover labor, delivery, pick-up charges, service calls, loaner units, or any similar costs. We encourage customers to read this document carefully to understand the full scope of coverage and exclusions.

Assembly and Pre-Operation Requirements

To maintain the validity of this warranty, the vehicle must be assembled and prepped by a certified professional mechanic or an authorized dealer prior to use. This includes ensuring the vehicle is in proper working order at the time of first operation. Acceptable professionals include any licensed small engine repair shop, motorcycle shop, or local auto repair shop. Proof of this assembly and preparation, such as receipts or service records, must be retained and submitted when filing a warranty claim. Failure to meet this requirement will void the warranty.

Coverage and Limitations

Regent Vespa guarantees to repair or replace defective components that fail due to issues arising from internal lubricated parts, provided the failure occurs within the stated warranty period and the product is used in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications. Warranty coverage is contingent upon the vehicle being used properly and maintained according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Exclusions:

The following items are explicitly excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Tires, rims, body panels, fuses, forks, shocks, gaskets, light bulbs, seats, oil filters, air filters, fuel filters, clutch wear parts, cables, chains, spark plugs, rubber parts, brake linings/pads, batteries, sprockets, external springs, clips, nuts, bolts, fasteners, and the frame.

Conditions That Void the Warranty

This warranty will be voided under the following circumstances:

  1. If the product is not assembled or prepped by a professional mechanic (small engine repair shop, motorcycle shop, or auto repair shop) or an authorized dealer.

  2. If damage to the component occurs due to an accident.

  3. If the customer fails to follow the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance and break-in procedures and does not provide proper service documentation.

  4. If damage occurs during shipping.

  5. If the product is used in a manner inconsistent with its intended purpose.

  6. If the product is modified in any way.

  7. If the product is used for rental or commercial purposes.

Towing and Shipping Charges

The customer is responsible for all towing and shipping costs incurred, including but not limited to costs related to the return of defective components or delivery of replacement parts.

Repairs and Replacements Under Warranty

Any components repaired or replaced under this warranty will be provided with parts of similar kind and quality. The warranty does not cover any labor charges related to repair or replacement of parts under any circumstances.

Shipping and Handling Charges

  • Under Warranty: If the product is still under warranty, the customer may return any defective part for exchange at their own expense. Regent Vespa will cover the return shipping costs to the customer unless the part was damaged due to misuse or any cause other than a manufacturer’s defect. Dealers may facilitate parts exchanges at no additional cost to the customer, though this is at the discretion of the dealer.

  • Out of Warranty: Customers are responsible for all costs related to parts, shipping and handling both ways, and labor charges. The customer must send the part needing replacement to ensure the correct part is sent. Failure to send the original part may result in the wrong part being dispatched.

Shipping Policy

  • All shipping-related fees must be paid in full by the customer, unless Freight Collect is used or the customer has arranged their own freight.

  • Regent Vespa cannot guarantee a specific delivery schedule and is not liable for shipping delays or damages incurred during shipping.

  • Regent Vespa is not responsible for any additional costs that may be incurred by the customer post-shipment.

  • Return shipping costs for out-of-warranty parts must be included with the initial order if not covered by warranty.

  • Cancellations after the product has shipped will incur a non-refundable shipping charge, which will be the responsibility of the customer.

Need for Part Return

We may request that the defective part be returned for the following reasons:

  • To verify the accuracy of the replacement part sent.

  • To monitor defective parts and notify the manufacturer or address potential future issues.

  • To confirm that the part is genuinely defective, as many parts returned are not defective.

Limited Warranty Transferability

This warranty is non-transferable and applies solely to the original purchaser. Any subsequent transfer of ownership does not carry with it the benefits of this warranty.

No Implied Warranties or Agreements

No other warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are offered beyond those explicitly stated in this agreement. Regent Vespa shall not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages, such as loss of use, rental fees, or loss of profit, resulting from the failure of any component or part.

No Other Agreement

This document constitutes the entire agreement between Regent Vespa and the purchaser regarding the purchased product. No other agreements, express or implied, are in effect unless specifically stated in this warranty.

Replacement Parts Process

Regent Vespa reserves the right to inspect any defective part before proceeding with replacement. The customer may be required to send the part back for inspection, which could take 1-2 business days. Shipping fees for returns are not reimbursed. If the part is found to be defective, a replacement will be issued.

Compliance with Laws

It is the responsibility of the buyer, dealer, distributor, and/or end user to comply with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws concerning the possession and use of any product purchased from Regent Vespa. The buyer certifies that they are of legal age, and all products ordered will be used in accordance with the law. Sales to minors are strictly prohibited, and Regent Vespa will not be held liable for misuse of any product purchased.

Acknowledgment and Acceptance

By placing an order, the purchaser certifies they are over 18 years of age and agrees to the terms and conditions set forth in this warranty. The purchaser acknowledges that they have had the opportunity to ask questions and fully understand the contents of this agreement. Upon purchasing, the buyer assumes all risks and waives any claims for liability in relation to their purchase of products from Regent Vespa.

This agreement shall be binding upon the purchaser, their heirs, agents, and personal representatives, and shall remain effective in the event of any transfer or assignment of rights.
